Ken Sedberry received his M.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977 followed by a residency at The Archie Bray Foundation until 1979. Returning to the East Coast, Ken taught at The Catholic University of America until 1981. He now lives and works in Burnsville, North Carolina.
Ken’s work for the last 50 years has focused on achieving vibrant colors at stoneware temperatures. With the development of chambered climbing kilns, came decorative stoneware and porcelain. Much of his work comes out of this tradition.
